Mint is a perennial herb belonging to the Lamiaceae family, widely recognized for its invigorating aroma and cooling sensation. The dried leaves of mint are green, crinkled, and intensely fragrant, releasing a menthol-rich freshness that stimulates the senses. Containing active compounds like menthol and menthone, mint is highly valued not only in culinary traditions but also in herbal medicine and aromatherapy.

Grown extensively in India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, mint thrives in moist, well-drained soil and temperate climates. India is among the world’s leading producers and exporters of mint and mint-derived products, supplying various forms like dried leaves, mint oil, and menthol crystals to global markets.
