Empowerment Initiatives

Creating Opportunities. Inspiring Self-Reliance.

At DevkiDwar Foundation, we believe true progress begins with empowered individuals. Through skill development programs, women’s self-help groups, youth mentorship, and livelihood support, we help people unlock their potential and build independent futures. Our focus is on creating opportunities, nurturing confidence, and fostering self-reliance in every community we touch. Empowerment isn’t just our mission — it’s our promise.

“Empowerment begins when someone believes in you—more so, when you begin to believe in yourself.”

Empowerment is more than opportunity—it’s the power to choose, create, and lead. At the DevkiDwar Foundation, our empowerment initiatives are focused on unlocking the potential of individuals who have historically been left on the margins—especially youth, women, and underrepresented communities.

Guided by the principles of equity, dignity, and inclusion, and committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), our work aims to create an ecosystem where every individual can thrive—socially, economically, and emotionally.

Our Focus Areas

Women Empowerment

We believe empowered women build empowered communities. Our women-centric programs provide:

  • Livelihood and entrepreneurship training in crafts, tailoring, agri-based enterprises, and home-based businesses

  • Self-help group (SHG) formation for financial independence

  • Legal literacy and rights awareness workshops

  • Health, menstrual hygiene, and reproductive wellness education

  • Leadership and digital literacy programs to build confidence and voice

Our goal is to help women move from dependency to agency—to become decision-makers in their homes, businesses, and society.

Youth Empowerment

India’s youth are its greatest asset—and our most urgent responsibility. Through education, mentorship, and real-world exposure, we support young people to become leaders, innovators, and changemakers:

  • Skill-building programs for employability and entrepreneurship

  • Leadership and personality development workshops

  • Mentoring and career guidance from industry experts

  • Access to internships, startup incubation, and funding pathways

  • Youth-led community action programs that nurture responsibility and civic participation

Our youth initiatives align with SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth, ensuring the next generation is equipped, inspired, and future-ready.

Skill Development & Vocational Training

Education must lead to employability. Our skill-building programs are designed to equip youth with practical, livelihood-enhancing skills in areas such as:

  • Tailoring, carpentry, electrical work, and farming innovations

  • Spoken English and soft skills

  • Computer skills and basic coding

  • Entrepreneurship and financial literacy

  • Career counseling and job placement support

We focus on real-world outcomes—a job, a business, a future.

Inclusive Community Development

Empowerment must reach everyone—regardless of caste, gender, location, or ability. That’s why we also work with:

  • Tribal and rural communities, providing access to basic rights and resources

  • People with disabilities (PwDs) through inclusive skill development and workplace integration

  • Senior citizens, ensuring dignity, engagement, and access to services

  • Gender and sexual minorities, creating safe spaces and support systems for identity and expression

We promote equity over charity, voice over tokenism, and partnership over patronage.

Our Impact Goals

  • Train and empower 50,000+ women and youth by 2030

  •  Facilitate 5,000+ micro-enterprises and self-employment ventures

  • Create 100+ youth-led community development projects

  • Establish safe, inclusive learning and working spaces for all
