Guava is a tropical fruit prized for its unique flavor, high vitamin C content, and numerous health benefits. Botanically classified under the Myrtaceae family, guava comes in a variety of cultivars with flesh that ranges from white to pink or red, and seeds that are either soft or crunchy depending on ripeness and variety. The fruit is round to pear-shaped with a green to yellowish skin when mature, exuding a sweet, musky fragrance.
India is one of the top producers of guava, especially from states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Didwaniya Group sources its guavas from these fertile belts where the fruit is grown with minimal chemical intervention, ensuring naturally ripened, residue-free produce fit for global markets.

Guava is consumed in numerous ways across culinary, wellness, and industrial sectors. Fresh guavas are eaten raw or juiced for their refreshing taste and rich antioxidant content. The pulp is widely used in jams, jellies, candies, beverages, smoothies, and even ice creams. In traditional Indian households, guava is a seasonal delicacy enjoyed with a sprinkle of salt or chaat masala.
Beyond taste, guava is valued for its medicinal properties—it supports digestion, boosts immunity, and regulates blood sugar levels. Its high fiber and vitamin C content make it a favorite in the health food industry. Guava leaves, too, are used in herbal teas and natural skincare formulations.
