Banana (Musa spp.) is one of the world’s most consumed tropical fruits, celebrated for its naturally sweet flavor, creamy texture, and high nutritional value. Belonging to the Musaceae family, bananas are rich in essential vitamins such as B6 and C, along with potassium and dietary fiber. Typically elongated and curved, the fruit has a smooth yellow peel when ripe and soft, sweet flesh inside.
India is the largest producer of bananas globally, contributing significantly to the international banana trade. Regions like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh are known for cultivating export-quality bananas with consistent flavor, appearance, and shelf life. At Didwaniya Group, we ensure meticulous post-harvest handling, ripening, and packaging to deliver bananas that are fresh, firm, and flavorful.

Application
Bananas are incredibly versatile and form a dietary staple in many parts of the world. In culinary uses, they are eaten raw, blended into smoothies, added to cereals and desserts, or used as a natural sweetener in baking. Ripe bananas are a key ingredient in banana breads, cakes, and pancakes, while unripe (green) bananas are often cooked in savory dishes, especially in Indian and Caribbean cuisines. Beyond culinary uses, bananas are valued for their digestive benefits, energy-boosting properties, and role in heart health. In food processing industries, bananas are also used for making chips, purées, baby food, and fermented beverages.
Storage Condition
Store bananas in a cool, well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight. Ideal storage temperature is between 13°C to 15°C with relative humidity of 85–90%. Avoid refrigeration before ripening to prevent chilling injury.
