Sourced from carefully selected plantations and processed under strict quality controls, our Oolang Tea offers consistency and flavor profiles suited to global B2B buyers and private-label partners
Oolang Tea (commonly spelled oolong or wulong in other sources) is a traditional partially-oxidized tea made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. The unique processing—careful withering, partial oxidation, rolling/bruising, and final firing—creates a wide flavor spectrum: light oolongs are floral and green-fruity, medium styles show honeyed and creamy notes, and heavily roasted varieties present toasty, chocolatey, or nutty profiles. The degree of oxidation is deliberately managed (typically varying across producers) to achieve the desired aroma and mouthfeel.
India’s tea estates and blending houses supply specific cultivars and leaf grades that allow manufacturers like Didwaniya Group to produce consistent Oolang Tea lines tailored for export markets. Skilled leaf handling and controlled oxidation are what distinguish a premium Oolang — they intensify varietal aromas, enhance body, and deliver multiple infusions with evolving character that tea buyers and connoisseurs value.

Characteristics
Taste: Ranges from floral, honeyed and fruity to toasted, nutty, and caramel-like depending on oxidation and roast.
Appearance (Structure): Whole-leaf styles may be twisted, rolled into beads, or curl-formed; color varies from greenish to dark brown/black as oxidation increases.
Smell: Complex and layered — fresh floral and orchard fruit notes in lighter styles; toasted, woody, and caramel aromas in darker/roasted styles.
Typical moisture (max): ≤ 6–8% (commercial loose leaf standards — lower moisture helps shelf life).
Suggested cup parameters: Brewing 180–95°F (82–90°C) depending on style, steep 2–5 minutes for most oolongs; multiple short infusions recommended.
Application
Oolang Tea is highly versatile: it is used as a single-origin loose leaf for specialty tea sellers, crafted into value-added blends for premium retail, and supplied in bulk for hospitality (restaurants, hotels, cafes) and private labeling. Light and floral Oolang works well as a delicate hot infusion or iced tea; medium and roasted Oolang suit dessert pairings and robust blends. Its layered flavor profile also makes it popular for tasting flights, cold-brewed beverages, and ingredient uses in culinary recipes (infused syrups, tea-smoked foods, and desserts).
Storage Condition
Store in clean, dry, odor-free, well-ventilated warehouses away from direct sunlight. Maintain relative humidity below 65% and temperatures preferably under 25°C to preserve aroma and prevent mold or quality loss. Keep tea in airtight, food-grade packaging (foil-lined bags or sealed tins) for export and retail shipments.
