Safflower Seeds
Nutritious Oilseed. Versatile Crop
Didwaniya Group supplies high-grade safflower seeds prized for their high oil yield, clean grading, and consistent quality. Carefully sourced and processed under strict hygiene standards, our safflower seeds suit edible oil extraction, feed formulations, and industrial and cosmetic applications — trusted by global buyers for reliability and purity.
Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) is an oilseed crop grown for its nutritious seeds, which are rich in vegetable oil and protein. The seeds are small, hard, and slightly flattened—valued primarily for cold-pressed or solvent-extracted safflower oil, known for its light color and neutral flavor. Safflower varieties range from high-linoleic to high-oleic types, making them adaptable to edible, cosmetic, and industrial oil specifications.
Cultivated in arid and semi-arid regions worldwide, safflower thrives in well-drained soils and is commonly produced in countries including India. At Didwaniya Group we source from established farming belts, apply careful harvesting and cleaning procedures, and offer seeds graded for uniformity, low foreign matter, and optimal oil recovery — ensuring consistent processing performance for refineries and manufacturers.

Mass fraction of moisture, %, not more than: 10.0
Mass fraction of oil (crude), %, not less than: 28.0
Color: Pale brown to grayish-buff, depending on variety and processing
Application
Safflower seeds are primarily processed for vegetable oil used in cooking and food processing due to its mild taste and light color. The remaining seed cake is a high-protein ingredient for animal feed. Beyond food, safflower oil is used in cosmetics and skincare formulations for its emollient properties, in pharmaceuticals as a carrier oil, and in industrial uses such as paints and lubricants where a stable, light oil is required. Processors and manufacturers also value specific varieties for targeted fatty-acid profiles (high-linoleic vs. high-oleic) to meet product-spec requirements.
Storage Condition
Store in dry, clean, well-ventilated warehouses free from pests, at a relative humidity not exceeding 75% and ambient temperature ideally below 20°C. Keep sacks off the floor on pallets, protect from direct sunlight and strong odors, and maintain FIFO (first-in, first-out) inventory rotation to preserve seed quality and oil stability.
