Rapeseeds

Golden Yield. Premium Oil

Didwaniya Group supplies premium-grade rapeseeds (Brassica napus) selected for high oil content and consistent performance. Sourced from trusted growers and processed under strict quality controls, our rapeseeds are ideal for edible oil extraction, biodiesel, and value-added industrial and feed applications—meeting the needs of global buyers who demand purity and reliable supply.

Rapeseed (Brassica napus) is a versatile oilseed crop prized for its high oil yield and robust agronomic performance. The seeds are small and spherical and are harvested once fully mature and properly dried to preserve oil quality. Modern rapeseed varieties—including low-erucic acid “canola” types—are widely cultivated across temperate regions for both edible oil and industrial use.

Rapeseed is cultivated for its efficient oil extraction and the nutritious protein-rich meal that remains after pressing. The crop adapts well to varied soils and is a key rotational crop in many producing countries. Didwaniya Group ensures each lot is sampled and tested to meet international standards for moisture and oil content, providing customers with consistent, traceable batches suitable for refining and further processing.

Characteristics

Taste: Not typically consumed whole; oil yields a neutral-to-mild flavor suitable for culinary uses once refined.

Appearance (Structure): Small, round seeds approximately 1.5–3.0 mm in diameter; color ranges from dark brown/black to yellow depending on variety.

Smell: Mild, slightly nutty or earthy when whole; neutral after proper refining of oil.

Mass fraction of moisture, %, not more than: 9.0–10.0

Mass fraction of oil, %, not less than: 38.0 (typical commercial lots 38–45%)

Erucic acid (for food-grade/Canola-type lots), %, not more than: 2.0 (where applicable)

Color: Dark brown to black (or yellow-seeded varieties) depending on cultivar and processing

Application

Rapeseeds are primarily processed to produce edible oil (canola/rapeseed oil) used in cooking, food processing, and margarine production. The pressed meal is an important high-protein ingredient in animal feed. Beyond food and feed, rapeseed oil is used in biodiesel production, lubricants, and various industrial formulations. Its versatility makes it a strategic commodity for food manufacturers, feed mills, and biofuel producers.

Storage Condition

Store rapeseeds in clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouses protected from pests, direct sunlight, and strong odors. Maintain relative humidity at or below 70–75% and temperature not exceeding 20°C to prevent moisture pickup, heat build-up, and loss of oil quality. Rotate stock on a first-in, first-out basis and inspect regularly for insect activity or heating.
