Sorghum is a highly versatile, drought-resistant cereal grain belonging to the grass family Poaceae. Cultivated for millennia, it is a resilient crop with a broad adaptability to varying climates, making it an essential food security grain. The grains are small, round, and range in color from white and yellow to red and brown, depending on the variety. Rich in fiber, protein, iron, and antioxidants, sorghum is increasingly valued in global markets as a gluten-free, health-friendly grain.

India is among the leading producers of sorghum, especially in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. At Didwaniya Group, we source from select farms to ensure high purity, low moisture content, and consistent grain size—making our sorghum ideal for both human consumption and industrial uses.

Whole sorghum is often cooked similarly to rice or quinoa and used in salads and pilafs. In traditional Indian households, "jowar roti" made from sorghum is a dietary staple known for its cooling properties and high nutritional value. In the brewing industry, sorghum is utilized in the production of gluten-free beers. Furthermore, sorghum grain and stalks serve as valuable animal feed, biofuel source, and raw material for paper and starch production.

Storage Condition
