Mung beans (Vigna radiata), commonly called green moong, are a small, green legume widely grown across India and Asia. They are valued for their soft texture when cooked, quick-cooking properties, and excellent suitability for splitting, sprouting, and milling. Naturally rich in plant protein, dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals, mung beans are a staple ingredient in many cuisines — from simple home dals to protein-dense snacks and health foods.

Cultivation of green moong emphasizes well-drained soils and timely harvesting to preserve seed integrity and color. Didwaniya Group works closely with farmers to ensure proper post-harvest handling (drying, cleaning, grading and storage) so that buyers receive beans with low broken counts, minimal foreign matter, and reliable cooking behavior.

Industrial applications include starch extraction and animal feed blends.
